Kelpinor, hatched at NTNU in Trondheim, is diving deep into the future of sustainable agriculture with our focus on sugar kelp (Saccharina Latissima) cultivation. While the seaweed grows, it takes up CO2 from the ocean, and helps de-acidify the water.

We're a startup fully vertically integrated from growing seedlings to producing high-quality seaweed suspension, all in-house. Located in Gildeskål, Norway's seaweed cultivation hotspot, our operations are streamlined to ensure that we're as green as our kelp.

Kelpinor thrives on interdisciplinary collaboration, integrating knowledge from academic environments such as NTNU Trondheim (Norway) and Rostock University (Germany) and leveraging multiple accelerator programmes. This approach ensures we're not just a startup but a hub of innovation, well-supported by public funding and dedicated to advancing sustainable seaweed cultivation.

As we speak, we are delivering our first 1000L of product to our German pilot customer. This with the expectation of >10 000L profitably sold and delivered within the summer.
